Floating City Can Let People Live Anywhere,
Even On Mars?
Russian architect, Alexander Remizov, has conceptualized and designed a floating city with an outer skin of solar panels, able to sustain people. When grouped together, they can form massive networks of cities. Remizov has designed the building for both land and sea; the foundation floats. The 5 floor, 14,900 square meter vessel uses high and low-temperature heat collectors to condense water and make steam. Air temperature is regulated in the central column, cooled down in summer and warmed up in winter. The air ventilates out of the central column to keep the city temperate. The vortex caused by the air entering on top is captured by a turbine and stored as wind energy.
